What are the reasons for the damage of graphite rotor?

In graphite and carbon products, there is a special application, that is graphite rotor, which will be damaged during operation. What are the reasons?


First of all, due to the influence of the transmission system, the transmission system of the degassing device is unstable, especially the connection between the rotors is different, and it will swing back and forth in the process of operation. In addition, it is easy to damage the friction between the graphite rotor and the sealing plug, which will accelerate the loss speed of the rotor.


Secondly, the composition of graphite is mainly composed of carbon, and the visible oxidation of graphite occurs under the air condition above 600 ℃. The products of carbon oxidation are CO and CO2 gas. In this way, the rotor cannot be protected, and the oxidation of the graphite rotor cannot be avoided.


Due to the cleaning of the liquid aluminum, the graphite rotor is immersed in the liquid aluminum in the degassing box, and after vigorous stirring, it can produce strong scouring and friction on the rotor. In particular, the contact part between the liquid level and the rotor rod gradually becomes thinner, and then it is damaged and scrapped.
